Mechanical stokers with pneumomechanical spreaders and reverse motion chain grating are intended for fuel-bed firing of black and brown coals in steam and hot-water boilers the heat productivity of which is up to 58 MW as well as in furnaces.
The stokers work on the principle of a continuous spreading to the active bed, in combination with the slow reverse motion of the chain rippled grate it provides the low ignition throughout the whole grate and steady combustion. The characteristic feature of those stokers is a combination of mechanical, as the basic, and pneumatic spreading, which makes it possible to optimize combustion of dust fractions in the furnace volume. The stoker design automates combustion action.
